Compliance Assistant

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual, for the position of Compliance Assistant with legal background.

Job summary

Key Responsibilities / Duties

• Assist in the development of compliance initiatives and programs to comply with the respective legal and regulatory obligations
• Provide assistance in preparing for impending regulatory changes
• Handle the management and execution of second line monitoring and assessment program for (AML/CTF)
• Assist in improving and maintaining AML/CTF policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with regulatory framework
• Handle, analyze, and report suspicious activity
• Identify and inform of any changes to legislation and other regulatory requirements relating to AML/CTF
• Develop and participate in AML Compliance programs
• Maintain a proper register of all incidents reported internally and externally
• Asist in developing and executing training for staff in various business units as required
• Aid in general compliance awareness
• Be able to handle and draft legal documents
• Submit CySEC required reports on AML/TF and Compliance on time

Work Experience / Knowledge

• Excellent command of the English language, written and oral
• At least 1-year experience in Compliance, ideally within the Financial industry or other related field will be considered as an advantage
• Experience developing and implementing compliance programs

• Team player with the ability to work unsupervised
• Exceptional analytical and investigative skills
• Willingness to work on various AML/compliance issues
• Must be able to adapt to working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
• CySEC Advanced certification will be considered an advantage

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent
• Advanced CySEC certificate is a must. AML certificate will be considered an advantage.
